Grameen Foundation. Helping Women One Loan At A Time

The Grameen Foundation has been around since 1977 and one of the things they focus on are microloans to poor women and their families. Some of these people live on less than $1 per day. With microloans, no collateral is needed to receive loans, unlike traditional loans from banking institutions. As the money is repaid it is recycled to others and in this way loans multiply the value of each dollar in defeating world wide poverty.

Much of Grameen Foundation's work is done by a network of volunteers who are committed to the Foundation's mission. In just seven years GFUSA has a global network of 50 partners in 20 countries and has impacted an estimated 5.5 million lives in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East.

Screaming At The TV

Screaming at the tv, is a blogging friend of mine. I enjoy going to his site and screaming with him. We are both good screamers I think. He promote a very worth while cause, Kiva This great charity gives micro loans to people who need the money to start up a vendor program to help others in their community. Some families ask for money to buy seeds to plant and raise a crop to feed their families and to sell at market. We all know how this works and all we need now is your help to make this goal. Click on the link to see what monies are still needed to help.
